Written, directed and choreographed by Keomi Tarver, and featuring special guest dancers and poets, Love & War: The Battle of the Heart is a compelling combination of the arts and storytelling. Experimenting with the connection between artists and art forms, Keomi uses dance, music, and poetry to welcome the vulnerability love and war bring to the surface, showing how opposing extremities can occupy the same space, finding the grace we need to choose love even in the midst of the war. Love & War asks all the hard questions we keep tucked away due to fear, leaving us exposed and eventually free. The production originally debuted in 2014, but is returning to the stage this fall for a special two nights only presentation.
