Mark Morris Dance Center OPEN HOUSE 2017
Mark Morris Dance Center
This September 2017, we celebrate the Mark Morris Dance Center! A continuation of our year-round community engagement activities, Open House provides a free sampling of a wide array of programming, including dance, music, and fitness classes for all ages, levels, and abilities. See a special performance of Mark Morris’ Words by Mark Morris Dance Group company members as well as pop-up showings throughout the day by our many community partners. Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams will kick off our afternoon performance.
In addition to free classes and performances, Open House gives our community a chance to meet and mingle with faculty and staff, register for children and teen classes at The School, purchase discounted dancewear, tour the Dance Center and enjoy free food and refreshments provided by local vendors. Open House is an opportunity for everyone in the community to connect, dance, and learn.
"Our dancers, our school, everyone has been so welcomed and supported by the community. Our Open House is our way of saying thanks. Join us and have fun.” - Mark Morris, MMDG Artistic Director/Choreographer.
