Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet
Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet once again collaborates with Ekmeles vocal ensemble for the world premiere of Sanctum, set to music by two major contemporary composers: Kaija Saariaho of Finland and Karin Rehnqvist of Sweden. Ekmeles singers Charlotte Mundy, Mary Mackenzie and Elisa Sutherland join the resident Magloire musicians: pianist Melody Fader and violinist Doori Na, for this celebration of sounds, bodies and movement. Also on the program is the elegant solo Morning Song, set to John Cage's Cheap Imitations for violin. Dancers are Sarah Atkins, Elizabeth Brown, Kristy Butler, Amber Neff, Rachele Perla and Madeleine Williams.
