Tango greats Gabriel Misse and Analia Centurion return from Buenos Aires to the Dardo Galletto Studios for tango teaching seminars, and performances at two Milongas, November 7-16, with the Milongas taking place:
Saturday November 8 - 9 PM to 2 AM
Friday November 14 - 10 PM to 2 AM
Misse and Centurion will perform, and Misse will also DJ for both Milongas.
The Milongas (tango parties) are warm and happy events with music, dancing for all, and a short performance by Misse and Centurion. Writing in City Arts, November 2013, Judy Gelman Myers noted: "As soon as you enter Dardo's large ballroom, you feel a cozy sense of community." Admission to the Milongas is only $15.
The teaching seminars, each lasting 3 hours and created for all levels, are designed to improve technique, build sequences and develop Argentine tango culture and music appreciation. Students can sign up for all 18 hours or a walk-in on the days they wish to attend. Created through Gabriel's and Analia's own training and vast knowledge and expertise, these seminars were constructed to educate and improve dancers of all levels and experience.
