Movida means Movement. Movement on the dance floor. Movement in our sex. Movement in our laughter. Movement in our mourning. Movida is reflection and action.
Movida is (Counter) Storytelling Project for Latina/o/x LGBTQ people. Through a series of themes Movida will bring people together to recount lived experiences and share in our oral histories through our own cuentos, dichos, and voces.
Join us on July 16, 2016 Bronx Pride Weekend for “Movida: Latin Night” where artists from the NYC LGBTQ Latina/o/x community will share and reflect on their first time at an LGBT “Latin Night.”
This event will benefit the victims of Orlando.
