“Leave space for the unexpected”

Viewers will “see what the dancers see” in white road Dance Media’s full-length contemporary dance work, Neon Brave, to premiere at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8pm. Projections unique to each of the four performers will allow the audience to experience the feeling of existing/participating in the performers’ environment. Footage from GoPros will offer a different type of audience immersion, unique to this production.
Neon Brave will also challenge the idea of a traditional run by presenting once a week over the course of three weeks. This uncommon approach will strip performance down to the essentials, allowing the piece to evolve. “With no rehearsals in between performances the program will have a unique opportunity to change and grow,” said Marisa Gruneberg, director/choreographer. “We leave space for the unexpected. The idea of a performance being stripped down to only the essentials, allowing the evolution of the piece over the time period, will reveal the essence of the concept.”
