Celebrate the one year anniversary of Grace Farms with special programming October 8-15, titled “Possibilities Are Endless,” beginning with the public unveiling of Moon Love Dreaming, a site-specific permanent artwork from renowned Brazilian artist, Beatriz Milhazes that extends the length of the West Barn hallway (108 ft. long). From 10am–7pm, the unveiling of Moon Love Dreaming will be free and open to the public. At 4pm, Wendy Whelan, former principal dancer of New York City Ballet, will present an excerpt from “Some of a Thousand Words”, and Li-Young Lee will read his poetry in response to Milhazes’ work; and Beatriz Milhazes will discuss her piece with Yuko Hasegawa, Grace Farms Foundation curatorial advisor. Followed by a champagne toast in the West Barn.
