Martha Graham Dance Company
This interactive evening celebrating the Google Cultural Institute’s Martha Graham Collection will include a guided tour of the Graham site by its curator, Graham artist and educator Oliver Tobin, and a conversation with a member of the Google Cultural Institute. Tech stations with tablets will give the audience a chance to explore the site individually. The event will include a sneak preview of recently discovered, rarely seen photos of Martha Graham and Company in performance in 1937, which will be added to the Google exhibit in April for the Company’s 90th anniversary celebration. The evening will also feature performances of Graham’s solos Lamentation and Deep Song danced by PeiJu Chien-Pott and Blakeley White-McGuire.
