NOoSPHERE Arts presents "WE ARE NATURE: Rising and Falling I Earth Ethics"

520 Kingsland Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11222

Saturday, October 21, 2023 - 5:00pm

NOoSPHERE Arts is delighted to announce WE ARE NATURE: Rising and Falling | Earth Ethics, a highly anticipated event celebrating our planet's natural wonders and demonstrating unwavering commitment to environmental conservation through the arts. Inspired by Climate Week NYC, the event serves as both an inspirational gathering and a fundraiser dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Amazon rainforest in partnership with the Boa Foundation.

The evening will feature a diverse lineup of artistic performances with interactive and educational segments that resonate with the season’s theme of nature's cycles and the urgent need to protect our planet. Attendees can expect an array of enriching experiences, including:

DANCEBecoming by Alexandre Barranco: A solo act inspired by the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. Alexandre Barranco's performance captures the essence of nature's cycles: the processes, the transformations, and the celebration of freedom.

LIVE MUSIC: Enjoy a musical performance by Denise Reiss as the sun sets, creating a harmonious ambiance that connects us with the rhythms of the Earth.

SITE-SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE: Ezra Campelli and Jeremy Clemente

PERFORMANCEBottlecap by Fantasy Grandma: Step into the whimsical realm of Fantasy Grandma, where laughter and moments of reflection await. (Bottlecap was written specifically for NOoSPHERE Arts)

POETRY: Reading by Honeychild Coleman: Let the words of acclaimed poet and musician Honeychild Coleman transport you into the heart of nature, evoking the beauty and fragility of our planet.

SOUND HEALING: Inner Sanctuary Activation with Boshko Boskovic: Experience your inner sanctuary on a rooftop garden through a sound healing session with Boshko Boskovic of Let’s Heal NYC. Join us to commune with each other as we open ourselves to the vibrations of the human voice surrendering in relaxation, and reconnecting to the earth beneath us and the sky above us.

WISE WORDS: Fritjof Capra & Benki Piyako: Witness recordings from systems theorist and deep ecologist Fritjof Capra & environmental activist and spiritual leader Benki Piyako as they share their wisdom and visions for a sustainable future, the importance of planting trees in the Amazon forest.

To enhance the overall experience, attendees can savor delectable vegan bites by chef Mariana Tamiozzy and refreshing herbal drinks by Crystal Drip Elixirs.

*A portion of the event's proceeds will be dedicated to supporting the Yorenka Tasorentsi Initiative, led by environmental activist and spiritual leader Benki Piyãko, through the Boa Foundation. The reforestation project aims to reclaim farmland, even on the cusp of urban areas in the Amazon, as part of a 2.5 million-tree reforestation initiative. It combines ancient and modern agroforestry techniques to achieve maximum biodiversity.
