This work is through the lens of…

This work is layered, it zooms in and out

it is a web of our thoughts as a collective curated by me

femininityracelabor

ethics around femininityracelabor.

It is an examination of the extremes and the mundanity of what it feels like to be all smushed together and then put under the microscope of performance

Community and co-existence via the lens of embodied personal & political beliefs explored through physical extremes. Four dancers. A 16’ diameter rotating circular stage. Bookmark manic states, google connection, arrive at the hinge of the now.

The evening includes movement installation "mourn and never tire" by Detroit artist Jennifer Harge responding to the number of unarmed Black Americans killed by police over the last 15 years.

Created by: Nadia Tykulsker in collaboration with the performers

Performers: Katie Dean, Jennifer Harge, Tara Sheena, and EmmaGrace Skove-Epes
