near the far
Occurring on three sides of CPR's performance space, near the far is a journey through isolation and contact. Traveling from apartment, to street, to corridor, dancers weave together solitude, tenderness, anxiety and drive to create an emotionally rich world where people have a hard time seeing one another. Zuerner and dancers draw on an original movement vocabulary exploring layers of experience, control, external forces, pressures, and emotional truths. With dancing by Emma Desjardins, Ellie Kusner, Adele Nickel, and Anne Zuerner, an original score composed and performed by Porcelain Skyline and lighting design by Andy Dickerson.
