Misnomer Dance Theater presents the world premiere of
Time Lapse and our rarely seen
Future Perfect, hailed as "beautifully peculiar" by
Dance Magazine, now re-imagined as
Future Perfect-er. In
Time Lapse, the Company journeys into the unusual, humorous, and serious corners of memory, while in
Future Perfect-er, they explore what would happen to a dance if it woke up on the other side of the bed, was born a day later, or existed in a parallel universe.
Known for its improbable partnering, unique movement language, and international collaborations with artists ranging from Bjork to Evan Ziporyn, Misnomer offers an evening of curious encounters, outrageous undertakings, and transformative dance. The show runs Dec 8-11 and 15-17, 7:30 pm at Joyce SoHo (155 Mercer St.).
