Open Call for Performers for LEIMAY Installation and Performance: Qualia -Gardens

Calling all actors, movers, dancers and body-oriented performers to take part in a performance-installation piece taking place in Brooklyn this September 2015. For this piece, LEIMAY is seeking individuals with any level of experience (you do not necessarily need to be a trained performer to participate). If you are enthusiastic about working with the body with a group of people, and if performing is something that interests you, do not hesitate to be part of this piece!

Individuals interested in being considered must attend a work session this coming Saturday, July 25 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

There will be six rehearsals taking place immediately after in July and August, and performances on September 3 and 5. Check full rehearsal details below and if you are available ALL days, please contact assistant@leimay.org with any questions, and send an email message to confirm your attendance this Saturday, July 25. This is an unpaid opportunity but we would like to offer a 30% discount on one of the upcoming LUDUS Labs taking place this coming fall.

Take a look at some photos from our work performed last year: HERE.

Qualia -Gardens is part of the New York Restoration Project’s “Arts in the Gardens” program and will take place at the Gil-Hodges Community Garden in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Founded by Bette Midler, the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) aims to enhance the quality of life in New York City via a comprehensive approach to urban land management.
