Open Level Ballet Workshop -- Focus on Turns

Company:
Liberated Movement
Turns—whether pirouettes or across the floor—are an integral part of a ballet dancers toolbox, and in a typical class, there is not always enough time to focus on them. Our two April ballet workshops will bring you the tips and tricks needed to develop the skills to execute clean, successful turns. We will break down the mechanics of turns and practice them in a fun, safe environment of support and learning. The second workshop will build on the first, together giving you a clear action plan for beautiful turns. Class begins with a warm-up at the barre followed by combinations in the center and across the floor that are tailored to the levels of dancers within the class. Students will build on their ballet technique while developing strength and flexibility. This class is for those returning to ballet after a hiatus, or ballet dancers who wish to perfect their technique. Some ballet experience preferred, but not required. Ballet slippers or socks recommended. As a workshop, this class has a $10 minimum donation required.
