Steps Beyond Foundation and REVERBdance will join forces to present a new program on its Performance Lab Series at Steps Studio Theater, continuing its mission to encourage and provide performance opportunities to both emerging and established choreographers.   The February 22 evening will feature short works by thirteen choreographers, celebrating a variety of styles, aesthetics, and dance voices.
Choreographers are:

* Steps Ensemble Artistic Director Bradley Shelver, will present an excerpt from Shelver's new "Le Monde Est
Fini, Pas de Panique," performed by Steps Repertory Ensemble

* Sidra Bell will present the solo "Repertoire," danced by Jillian Hobbs

* Stefanie Batten Bland Company will perform her solo "Germe," music by Olafur Arnalds

* Elisa Monte Dance will present the duet "Persona Umbra," choreography by Tiffany Rae Fisher, performed by members of Elisa
                Monte Dance

* Periaspsis Music and Dance, live music composed and played by Jonathan Howard Katz, danced by Leigh Schanfein

* Vanessa Van Wormer, Boston Reverb Audience Selection Winner

* A traditional Flamenco dance choreographed by Victorio Korjhan

* Works by Alenka Cizmesija, Brian S. Davis, Dionne Figgins, Joci Hrzic, Fadi J. Khoury, and Steps Ensemble member Aurelien Peillex.

The PERFORMANCE LAB is open to artists from all genres including dance, music, theater, performance art, and multidisciplinary works, and provides a safe environment for them to experiment with the elements necessary to create a specific and unique work of art.  Participants will be able to "test" the results by receiving confidential written feedback based on audience members' perceptions of, and reactions to, the work.

Each Performance Lab concludes with a post performance Artists Social, which gives the artists and audience members a chance to network.  This evenings social will also include an exhibition by photographer Jaqi Medlock and paintings by Joanne Ruggeri and former ABT dancer Tobin Eason.
