The Trinayan Odissi Dance Collective will portray stories about five iconic heroines from the Indian epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata. These five powerful female characters have been immortalized and idolized as ideal women. Their stories come to life through the creative genius of Guru Sri Durga Charan Ranbir, in his Odissi choreography known for its richly ornamented and nuanced use of traditional form.
Odissi is the oldest of eight classical dance forms of India.
