Paul Zaloom is a comedic puppeteer, political satirist, filmmaker, and performance artist who lives and works in Los Angeles and tours his work all over the world. In his latest puppet extravaganza, WHITE LIKE ME: A Honky Dory Puppet Show, Paul Zaloom employs various action figures, tchotchkes (bric-a-brac), weird junk, and a ventriloquist dummy who reacts to the news of a black president, gay marriage, women generals, and other developments. WHITE LIKE ME satirizes Caucasian anxiety about becoming a minority in the U.S. in 2040.
