Pennsylvania Ballet at The Joyce Theater
Company:
Pennsylvania Ballet
Since its founding in 1963, Pennsylvania Ballet has earned a reputation as one of the leading ballet companies in the United States, and the appointment of former American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Angel Corella as Artistic Director has ushered in a new, exciting era. For its Joyce season, the company presents three works choreographed specifically for its dancers — Choreographer-in-Residence Matthew Neenan’s Keep; Trey McIntyre’s The Accidental; and Nicolo Fonte’s Grace Action, a 2015 piece highlighting the dancers’ “quicksilver moves” that “drive energy through their limbs like summer lightning.” ~ The Inquirer
