DIS - Video and Performance Art ABILITIES
I'm showing a short sketch of a performance in this shared evening of work under the theme of "Disability." I'm wrestling with this reality/condition/concept/tool/societal limitation in the midst of winter, thinking about how it relates to control, desire, history, and interdependency.
Untitled Circumstance, or Be My ____

Christen Clifford curates this shared evening of work that is headlined by performer and scholar, Petra Kuppers. It also includes short works by Marni Kotak, Katya Grokhovsky, Melanie Houghton, Stacey Robinson, and Joan Lipkin's Disability Project.

Teaching: Saturday, February 28 at University Settlement
Invented (Language) Prosthetic (Choreography)
This is the tentative title of the workshop I'll be leading for the wonderful initiative, "Community of Practice" by Culturebot. I'm interested in imagining a space for performance that we can inhabit–a space where we can bring our total selves into the room. We'll experiment with how language and dance can become prosthetic tools to connect us to each other, as witnesses and collaborators. What is "doing?" What is "doing something for someone" vs. "doing something with someone?" We will explore these questions in the context of performance-making.
