Prana/Breath

Sakashi Productions and Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company

Two Indian dance companies collaborate in a program entitled "Prana/Breath" - Dakshina, a Bharata Natyam and modern dance company from Washington D.C., and Sakshi Productions, a neo-classical and contemporary Odissi dance company.  In this shared evening, the companies will explore the diverse ways in which prana (breath) inhabits dancing bodies, personal histories, vocal intonations, and live percussion.    March 23 & 24, 8 PM, at Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55 Street
