Private Demo Class Showing of Company - Free!

Please join us for a glass of wine and to observe a private demo class showcasing the dancers of Marie-Christine Giordano Dance. Marie-Christine has developed her own contemporary technique, based on the principles of modern dance and ballet. The movements combine spirals, spinning, turns, extreme shifts of the weight, slow motion and the capacity to go from total control to total abandon. It offers an exploration of seemingly contrasting elements: from a pure and crisp line to disintegration, from the energy of sound to the power of silence. Her new work, entitled IN AND OUT will premiere at St. Mark's Church in June to celebrate the Company's 10th Anniversary.

On February 11, 2012, Marie-Christine and her dancers will host a one hour demo class observation to offer sneak peak at this unique technique. Marie-Christine holds the classes in her beautiful private dance studio in Brooklyn.

MCGD has appeared at St. Mark’s Church, 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center, the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, BAX (Brooklyn Arts Exchange), the Swiss Institute, and other venues, as well as in Europe. With headquarters in Brooklyn, she maintains a daily teaching schedule, offering an outreach dance program to public school children and classes to professionals and nonprofessionals.
