Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana’s Center for Flamenco Arts announces a new 3-day professional development Summer Intensive for Educators July 16-18, 2012. The intensive will include daily introductory Flamenco technique classes taught by guest artist Antonio Hilgado, curriculum workshops with Flamenco Vivo’s Director of Arts Education Jessica Wilt that are aligned with the NYC Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in Dance, the Common Core national standards and technology integration using SmartBoard. Presented in a fun and informative summer intensive format, a special master lecture with Artistic Director Carlota Santana, a guided field trip to the Hispanic Society, and a Flamenco Vivo company performance at Rutgers University will be included. (Transportation and housing accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee).
