Purchase Dance Company

WATCH OUT! The Purchase Dance Company is coming to town!

The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College’s School of the Arts is one of the premier professional training programs in the world. Members of the Purchase Dance Company are selected from the BFA program and represent the most talented performers of the next generation of dance artists. The program will feature a work by New York Live Arts’ very own Bill T. Jones, recent recipient of the Rockefeller Award for Dance. Claire Porter, “… mistress of the short, sharp character portrait …” (Sally Sommer, Village Voice) will develop a new work with the company over the idea of a sentence, the grammatical kind. The work might even be called Sentence. The evening  will include additional dances by student choreographers and/or surprise guest artists.
