Brooklyn’s own Purelements, performing arts company, heads uptown to Central Park for a FREE SummerStage dance performance. Join Purelements’ Adult and Pre-Professional company on Sunday, July 10 at 2pm at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park for an excerpt* of a Hip-Hop, Lindy and African fusion magical tale of one girl’s journey to discover the legacy of a people and the power of herself.
*Run time: 15-20 minute excerpt of 90 minute production.
About the performance
When Khadijah goes to her new school she never realized all the things she would discover about herself just by studying history. Join her and fellow classmates on a magical journey and experience a colorful montage of dance, song and poetry about African American heritage and history!
