SYREN Modern Dance, presented by The Church of St. Luke in the Fields, will
perform The Art of Fugue accompanied by Rick Erickson on organ and harpsichord. This site-specific
dance explores definitions of beauty while searching for its existence in a world filled with
detachment, immediacy, and exploitation. Bachʼs masterpiece is at the center of this work, allowing
the organ to heighten the senses, evoking imagery and inspiring movement from every crevice, step,
and pillar of the sanctuary.
The performance is one hour without intermission.
Tickets are $35.00 General, $30.00 Senior and Student.
