SaltmarshDANCE Presents "OBStacleS" as a Dedication to Ethel Winter

Saltmarsh Dance debuts “OBStacleS,” a ballet that explores human endurance and the way we approach, as well as conquer barriers and hurdles that transpire through life. Using a combination of movement and visual production, “OBStacleS” guides the viewer through a journey of struggle, compassion and growth.
A 30-year celebration and dedication to a beloved dance teacher and mentor, “OBStacleS” will be performed at the Martha Graham Studio Theatre. Suzanne Saltmarsh, now a choreographer, performer and dance educator, studied with mentor Ethel Winter while attending Florida State University, the Martha Graham School and Julliard. Suzanne harnesses the talent of six former students, all graduates of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, who have continued to flourish in their dance careers.
“OBStacleS” will be performed April 11th 2015 at 8pm and April 12th 2015 at 3pm. The Martha Graham Studio Theatre is located at 55 Bethune St NYC, NY 10014 on the 11th floor.
