Steps Beyond, a division of Steps on Broadway, is proud to present a "Performance Lab," a showcase for ten young choreographers and a special appearance by Steps Repertory Ensemble, under the direction of Bradley Shelver, Saturday May 17, 8 PM, at Steps Studio Theater on the 3rd floor, 2121 Broadway (74th Street).

Choreographers selected to showcase are:
Teresa Fellion, artistic director of BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance
Sarah Weber-Gallo, member of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, former member of the companies of Donald Byrd and Sean Curran
Malik Kitchen, began his career on the MTV series "Taking the Stage,' member of Steps Repertory Ensemble
Tislarm Bouie, former dancer with Philadanco 2
Adrienne Clancy, artistic director of Maryland's ClancyWorks Dance Company
Sandra Lacy, co-artistic director of Lacy & Shade, Solo Duet Dance Works
Alyson Laury, founded Alyson Laury Dance Company in 2012
Nicole Philippidis, artistic director of 277danceproject, founded in 2008
Jessica Taylor, artistic director of DamageDance
Jonathan Royse Windham, one of Dance Magazines "25 to Watch" in 20013
and
Steps Repertory Ensemble, artistic director Bradley Shelver.


STEPS BEYOND, a division of Steps on Broadway, embodies the philosophy that Steps on Broadway is a studio for professionals and for dancers training to be professionals.   Its mission is to connect dancers with the wider artistic community by providing opportunities to translate and interpret their daily dance training into performance, and to gain access to people working in the industry.   Performance opportunities include the Performance Lab Series, Celebrate Dance, The Faculty in Performance, and various other dance and music concerts.  The Artists Talk Series and Film Nights@Steps on Broadway offer discussions with dance, music, and theater industry experts.
