Lar Lubovitch Dance Companypresents Legend of Ten, a 2010 work set to a Brahms piano quartet. The “Legend” in question refers not to a character in a mythic story, but to the explanation of symbols in the corner of a map; the dance is a sort of map of the music. Lubovitch plans to combine an interview (done by a different person at each performance) with dance excerpts to show how Legend of Ten is structured and how it relates to other works he’s created.
