Laura Pawel Dance Company
Laura Pawel Dance Company returns to the Chen Dance Center with two premieres and company favorites. As always, the company dances to live music by composer/performers who, like the dancers, have enjoyed long collaborations with Laura Pawel, who founded her company in 1968 after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College. Their dances combine improvisational structures with sound and text. Performers are Stacey Berkheimer, Jim Finney, Pamela Finney, Emily Kistler, Maki Kurokawa, Elaine Myrianthopoulos, and Laura Pawel. Live music by composer/performers Barebones (harmonica & guitar duo), The Cecilia Coleman Quartet, and Phil Stone, March 14-16, 7:30 PM, at the Chen Dance Center, 70 Mulberry Street.
