On Friday, December 9, 2016 at 8PM, Saturday, December 10, at 8pm, The Construction Company will present dances by five diverse and distinguished New York City choreographers at University Settlement, 184 Eldridge Street (at Rivington Street) in New York City. Admission to the concert is $15 for general admission. For reservations call 212-924-7882.
The Construction Company has been presenting innovative performances in New York City for 45 years. The December 9, 10, program includes Beth Soll’s Iris, an impressionistic tribute to 20th century Romanian choreographer, Iris Barbura; a deconstructed foxtrot performed by Linda Seifert and Piotr Kiszka; a duet performed by Jeffrey Bauer and Alwyn McCormick to the violin duos of Bela Bartok; The Shadow on the Steps, a dance by Janet Aisawa about a woman who was killed in the atomic blast at Hiroshima; and a work by media artist and dancer Mei-Yin Ng known for her spectacular visual effects.
