Fruits borne out of rust, a multimedia dance piece conceived and directed by celebrated Japanese visual artist Tabaimo, features intricate drawings and video installations melding with a performance by solo dancer Chiharu Mamiya.

Movement, music and stunning animations combine in this collaboration by Tabaimo and award-winning choreographer Maki Morishita, with two on-stage musicians playing an original score by Yusuke Awazu and Keisuke Tanaka.

Fruits borne out of rust arrives at Japan Society for two performances (March 6 & 7), as part of a North American tour, produced and organized by Japan Society, that includes stops at REDCAT (North American Premiere; February 20-23), Wesleyan University (February 28-29) and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (March 3).
