Dance Parade NYC
Have a blast at the 12th annual DANCE PARADE, Saturday May 19th. Unless you are going to the Royal Wedding, join us for a joyous celebration of dance with approximately 10,000 paraders - students and professionals, young and old, with color, costumes, music, and 80 different styles of dance.
Be our guest in the grandstand in Astor Place Plaza for all or part of the Parade, which starts at 1 PM on Broadway & 21st Street, dances down Broadway, through Union Square and University Place, across 8th Street/Saint Marks, and ends at approximately 3 PM in Tompkins Square Park, where five stages are set up for free performances by many of the companies, as well as social dancing and free lessons in various styles of dance.
GRAND MARSHALS: Camille A. Brown, Mickela "Bare Feet" Mallozzi, WCBS DJ Doc Martin, and Brooklyn City Council Member Rafael Espinal
