Isadora Duncan's name evokes images of grace, passion, and defiance. She was a magnificent dancer who changed the direction of her entire art. The mother of modern dance, she was a pioneering feminist and one of the first international superstars. The originality of her art characterized her life, which was restless and exciting, triumphant and tragic. This program brings together her story, her dances, and music to create a fascinating theater piece with the authentic dances to live music of Chopin, Brahms, Schubert, Gluck and Scriabin.
