"The Earth at My Waistline," A Film Premiere Collaboration between Eiko Otake & Joan Jonas (June 11 at 5PM)
On June 11 at 5PM (EST), Eiko and Joan will present a new media work, The Earth at My Waistline, which was created during their artist residency at St. Mark's Church. A live discussion will follow. Tickets to the premiere are on a sliding scale ($0–20).
At 5PM (EST) on June 7, there will be a virtual Conversation Without Walls between Lydia Bell and Kristin Juarez on Eiko's Platform 2016: A Body in Places and Ishmael Houston-Jones and Will Rawls' Platform 2016: Lost & Found. The event is free with RSVP.
Special Danspace archival footage of Eiko's A Body in Places and Joan's Moving Off the Land is available on the Online Journal, Issue 12 starting on June 7.
