You're looking to work with choreographers who want to use your special talents to create a new show. You want to participate in the creation of a  new show that will tour and engage audiences all of NY. You want to participate in a show that exposes you to the work of 4 incredible choreographers. You want to be the face of the promotional campaign that supports the show you are creating. You want to audition of The Co-Op.

The Co-Op features 4 spectacular choreographers creating original work on 6 dancers. 

Conceived and presented by The Moving Beauty Series in partnership with Williamsburg Movement & Arts Center, this original production is holding auditions on Thursday, February 18th, 2016, 3:15 pm - 7:00 PM. Due to popular response, we will also be seeing dancers on Friday, February 19th 2016, 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm. When writing to request an audition slot, please specify on which day you would like to audition.

We are seeking 6 versatile, intelligent, and dynamic performers to work with the choreographers, Cameron McKinney, Michelle Thompson, Laurie M. Taylor, & Aaron McGloin to create an true repertory show of original work created with and for the selected dancers.

The Co-Op is premiering on April 15th, 16th, & 17th, 2016. Selected dancers will rehearse with choreographers for 10 to 15 hours a week to create this show. Please note, if you are unable to commit to the following schedule, do not submit to audition:

Any additional rehearsal time leading up to the 4/15 premiere will be set as a collective company. Sometimes dancers will be given special opportunities to work with master teachers and choreographers or for additional performances, but only as their schedule allows.

If you would like to audition and are able to commit to all of these dates and times, please submit your headshot, résumé, and a video link of you dancing to info@beautymoving.com Dancers in whom we are interested in seeing will be invited to audition. 

Talented dancers of all physical body types are encouraged to attend. Dancers in their OPT year are also encouraed to attend. We are hiring based upon talent - not your visa situation or your body type. 

The Dancers selected to participate will work with the 4 choreographers to create original material that will be taken on tour following our initial premiere. Dancers will be paid equal portions of profits from performances. Additionally dancers will partake in an extensive video, photo, digital, marketing campaign and participate in community engagement performers hosted by legislative leaders from throughout NYC.
