Artistic Director Duane Cyrus will premiere a new work, Middle Passage Part I: Traveler, a performance work inspired by the poems of Louis Mustafa Audrey.
This season’s special guest artists include:
Germaul Barnes—Bessie Award winner and former member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company will be joining the company for the second season after last year’s thrilling presentation of Half Full Manifest Destiny.
Christian Von Howard—international performer, teacher, choreographer will be presenting Played OUT-a movement satire that speaks to the plight of social identity among African American men in today’s culture.
Juel D. Lane—former member of Ronald K. Brown/Evidence Dance Company will return this season with a dance for the camera debut titled Unconsciously Thinking Installment Volume 1.
