Securing 30 minutes for $13.50 in a tower near Rockefeller Center … today people can arrange to have private work spaces around Manhattan — to sleep, hook up, have meetings — that are bookable through an App. What is the value of a minute? An overarching theme to this workshop includes how to value a minute and then some within the context of a dance and performance making practice. Explore compositional exercises designed to generate a range of improvised and set material that highlight and maintain a connection to a given location (in this case the dance studio) while also being adaptable to other environments and venues.
