Triskelion Arts is pleased to present a premiere evening-length dance work by Quentin Burley Dance Group this January in the Muriel Schulman Theater.

The company shares a group work that shamelessly brands itself with virtuosic movement, progressive music, and an obsession with coconut water. This deconstructed “spectacle” exposes the intrinsic value, or lack thereof, in human movement. The piece asks what is left when the frame is removed, when the laugh track is taken away from the joke, and when the atmosphere is taken away from the dance, resulting in a visual feast of nuanced movement, repeatedly re-contextualized to examine how commercialism informs our view of art, media, and beauty.
