Triskelion Arts is pleased to present Tami Stronach Dance’s latest evening-length work this February in the Aldous Theater. Around The Bend is a workshop performance that exists somewhere between a dance-theater piece, a guided conversation, and a celebration. This new work asks us to consider what it means to be in the middle of something: a life, a career, a love triangle, a movement… and a creative process. Stronach gives form to the potent emotions of anticipation, regret, and hope that accompany not knowing how something will end. A stellar design team and cast of performers join her in exploring how the past intrudes on the present, how expectations impact unfolding information, and how we can stay open to risk even as we have more to lose. The audience is invited to stay after the performance to discuss the material, to ruminate on what being in the middle means to them, and to revisit sections of the dance to foster genuine exchange.

“Sublime beauty… images of extraordinary, even alarming power.”
— Eva Yaa  Asantewaa
