Martita Goshen's Earthworks

Martita Goshen presents her Earthworks in the premiere of "Turning Home," with the 9-member company joined by female equestrian Sara Morgan and jockey Janice Blake Baeza.   The evening-length work is a tribute in dance and film to the greatness and goodness of American thoroughbred racehorses Barbaro and Ruffian, who both died tragically and too early.   Films include a trip to the Fair Hill Training Center for Thoroughbred Horses in Elkton, Maryland, where Barbaro was trained; the Belmont Raceway gravesite of Ruffian; and a showing of the under 2-minute May 2006 Kentucky Derby, one of the races won by Barbaro.    April 18-20 at the Mark Morris Center, 3 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn.
