Believing that dance is the marriage of movement and music, DancEthos is thrilled to perform Voice(s) to all live music in collaboration with musical talents the West Shore Piano Trio, Pauline Pisano, and Euphonism at the INTERSECTIONS Festival at the Atlas Performing Arts Center on February 23, 2013, at 1:30pm.
Choreographed by Artistic Director Tiffany Haughn, The Divide explores our gender consciousness and is set to the evocative music of Rebecca Clarke, performed with passion and color by the West Shore Piano Trio.
In Voice(s) on the Hook, choreographers Matthew Bennett, Jenny T. Flemingloss and Rick Westerkamp interpret the risk-taking melodies of songwriter Pauline Pisano, highlighting a range of movement, style and structure.
Listen, choreographed by Assistant Director Carolyn Kamrath, delves into themes of separation and lack of connection pulling from the repertory of Euphonism, an internationally touring all-vocal band that blends 7 unique voices with technology.
