Produced by local powerhouse Culture Shock DC, Volume IV: The Enlightenment considers the theme of “enlightenment” in a mixed-bill evening choreographed and performed by company members. This eclectic company of 150 dancers uses hip-hop dance, spoken word, and live music to inspire positive change in their community.
Part of the Culture Shock Dance Troupe, Inc network, Culture Shock DC is a nonprofit hip-hop dance organization serving the DMV community since 2002. By utilizing hip-hop & urban dance culture to educate, enrich, and entertain, Culture Shock delivers innovative performances and develops future artists and citizens. Culture Shock’s five troupes perform regularly across DC, Maryland, and Virginia with their athletic and adaptive choreography full of style, sass, and explosive fun.
