WASHINGTON, DC: Roy Assaf Dance at Dance Place

Company:
Dance Place
Israeli choreographer Roy Assaf brings his award-winning repertory to DC, straight from their engagements at Jacob’s Pillow and American Dance Festival.
Six Years Later shows a meeting between two mysterious figures, their pasts unknown and their story told through evocative undulations. We can understand the dancers’ past only by what they show us now. In this quiet meeting, their gestures flicker before our eyes, confirming or shattering our assumptions.
In a trio infused with meaning and insight, The Hill challenges three men to find the softer side of masculinity and fraternity. As they summit an enormous challenge, they find that all they have left is each other.
