Dance is the starting point for the films of dancer/choreographer/filmmaker ABE ABRAHAM, who presents two of his works Saturday November 19, 7;30 PM, at the Leonard Nimoy Theatre, Symphony Space, Broadway & 95th Street. Performers include Arch Higgins, Megumi Eda, Caitlin Mundth, Kevin Petite, Jake Warren, Mina Lawton, and others whose credits include NYCB, Armitage Gone! Dance, and other major companies. In addition to his exquisite "Wind and Tree," created expressly for the medium of film, Abraham will present the new "The Body in Space: A Filmmaker's Perspective," in which he shows brief scenes from the films "Pickpocket," "Raging Bull," "The Man from London," and demonstrates how the filmmakers have challenged conceptions of the body in space and time.
