With Love and Brooklyn

Company:
651 ARTS
Dear Friends,
This season, we reflect on our home, Brooklyn. Twenty-five years have passed since our founding with the charge to present performing arts generated by artists of African desent. Through those years, 651 ARTS has remained a national leader in supporting and presenting dynamic black artists and producing award-winning projects. Now, as we prepare to relocate our offices in preparation for new administrative and performance space in 2017, we set the tone for a bright future in the borough we love.
This fall our season is rooted in personal reflections, changing social climates, and major historic events. Our artists are playwrights, poets, musicians, dancers, professors, and all have a dynamic story to share and a dialogue to open. Their work encourages us to reevaluate our relationship with Brooklyn and what it means to serve our beloved friends, artists, and community, and we encourage you to do the same.
We call this season:
Love in the Time of Brooklyn
With love and Brooklyn,
Shay Wafer
