MMDG’s Work/Study Group serve as the first point-of-contact to more than 4,000 Dance Center visitors each week and provide customer service and support for all daily programming.
We are hiring for two positions: Store Work/Study and Front Desk Work/Study. You will be asked to select the position in which you are most interested on the application form.
Store Work/Study work solely in our onsite retail store, providing friendly customer service helping parents and dance students select their dancewear for the coming semester. Candidates are required to commit to a minimum of 16 shifts within the 8-week period, but are encouraged to work as many shifts as are available. Store Work/Study will receive 2 free classes for every 4-hour shift they work.
Front Desk Work/Study positions are stationed at the Front Desk, providing support the entire operations of the Dance Center with a special focus in education programming. Candidates are required to commit to working two 4-hour shifts per week for the full term. Front Desk Work/Study receive unlimited free classes for every full-week commitment.
STORE

WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday
2:30pm - 6:30pm 3 sales people needed per shift
3:00pm - 7:00pm 1 sales person needed per shift
Saturday
8:30am - 12:30pm 4 sales people needed per shift
11:00am - 3:00pm 3 sales people needed per shift
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sell merchandise using MMDG’s point of sale system
Help customers find appropriate sizes and styles of items
Setup and maintain appearance of Store during open hours
Restock inventory
Assist with inquiries for Children/Teen and Adult programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in working with our community (children, adults, and seniors from 2 to 92 years old)
Presents oneself in a mature, polished, polite, friendly manner
Extremely punctual, reliable and dedicated
Retail experience a plus; knowledge of dancewear is even better!
BENEFITS:
Two free classes for every 4-hour shift. Classes valid through December 31, 2017.
$10/hour rehearsal rental rate

FRONT DESK

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcome and orient visitors of the Dance Center, upholding MMDG's high standard of customer service
Assist with adult class check-in and count classes
Help execute daily operations and facilities tasks
Answer in-person inquiries for all MMDG programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in working with our community (children, adults, and seniors from 2 to 92 years old)
Presents oneself in a mature, polished, polite, friendly manner
Extremely punctual, reliable and dedicated
Customer service and MindBody experience a plus!
