Following an exciting eight-week workshop series, Ailey Extension’s World Dance Celebration participants will take the stage at the Ailey Citigroup Theater for two breathtaking performances of traditional dance styles and live accompaniment native to Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East on June 8 at 7:30pm and June 9 at 2pm. Featuring choreography from internationally renowned artists, World Dance Celebration performances feature techniques including Samba/Afro-Brazilian, Bellydance, West African, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Fusion, and NY Style Mambo.
