World Dance Theatre, a professional, not-for-profit dance company based in Queens, is seeking dancers with backgrounds in ethnic dance styles for performances and teaching opportunities. World Dance Theatre is dedicated to promoting global communication, understanding, and appreciation through the arts. Ideal candidates possess knowledge of an ethnic dance style, as well as a desire to learn other ethnic dance styles; a passion for using the arts to promote peace; a team spirit; and a great attitude.
Paid rehearsals, performances, and teaching opportunities. Invited auditions by appointment on May 21 2-4pm at SpaceWorks, 33-02 Skillman Ave, Studio B, Long Island City (enter on 34th St.) Please submit materials to info@worlddancetheatre.com. Callbacks on May 25 from 7-9pm. If you are a versatile dancer with no ethnic dance experience but a desire to learn and share, please attend the open audition on May 25.
