Greetings and warm wishes from all of us at Human Kinetics!

I hope and trust that this email finds you well in these unprecedented times. It is a time of profound change, which offers the opportunity for reflection and renewal. Throughout this past year, I have been asking women from across the globe what, moving forward, they wish to let go of, and to inscribe it on a piece of fabric and send it to me.
I’m excited to share that Tales of A Phoenix: The Letting Go Project will now take place as a meditative performance at the Chashama gallery space in Manhattan’s busy Garment District. Over the course of five weeks, I will be stitching the received fabric pieces into a room-filling skirt. Seated in the storefront window, the durational performance can be viewed from the outside of the gallery. With pieces received from 36 countries and states around the world, the resulting artwork will reflect on women’s role and our interconnectedness across many different cultures.
