On November 2nd & 3rd, areadance will fill the air of Dixon Place Theater, coloring the walls with memories, dreams, and a deeply rooted soul. Envisioned by two artistic directors, the work is richly painted by humanity and ingenuity, with a physicality that tapers on the edge of falling. 'our history, rooted.' moves from intimate familial ties, to orbiting bodies in space without boundaries. Tw
o different dances, find commonality through vulnerability, risk, and the use of space as a representation of time. Their honesty to human expression is sure to immerse viewers with an undeniable relevance. Dancers mend subtly with expansion, athleticism with artistry, and the past to the present.
